My name is Hans Walter. I have been deported from my family yesterday. They broke into our apartment and stole all of our valuables. Many people from my neighborhood were also being robbed and deported.

We arrived at Auschwitz on a train. People were crying in the train an refused to get out. I was forced to follow the orders of the Nazis because I didn't want to get shot on site.

This concentration camp was the biggest one. We were forced to work until we couldn't anymore, then we would be put to death. I didn't give up on my work. I wanted to see my family again; if they were still alive. All the Jews received a prisoner uniform. We also received little to no food. After a long day of hard work we could finally sleep for a little bit. The beds here were the most uncomfortable thing. We woke up and we were going to repeat this same cycle over and over.
