This was one of the largest concentration Camps. It was open on July, 1937. It contained political prisoners, Jews, and other targeted groups.

It was opened on July, 1937 for just males. In 1943/1944 it was opened for women also. Most of the first inmates were political prisoners.

During WW2, the camp became hard, forced labor. The population of prisoners at the camp increased quickly. Many of them worked in German Workshops.
