In 1937, the Nazis had a "verboten" list and the boy scouts were on it. Non-Jewish boys had to be in Hitler's Youth. People who tried to stop the Nazis from doing this were killed.

Hundreds of thousands of kids were members of youth organizations when Hitler became in power in 1933. Even if parents didn't want the child to be in the youth, they still had to be in it. There were no more boy scouts.

They did do camping activities. They did activities like camping trips, singing, crafts, and hiking. When the children hang out with Hitler, they began to think he was a good person. Hitler called the Jews "aliens" and they believed it. He wanted them to be in the military when they were older, and they were forced to. Hitler was brainwashing them so they could hate the Jews like him. He wanted to make the children think that the Jews were horrible people. People also agreed a lot with Hitler later on because they were with him at a young age.
